What's Cooking?
Cookies. Yum, right? If you are a cookie lover (or any dessert for that matter) this is the site for you! I'm going to pick and make one recipe every week and review it. Then I'll grade it with a scale of one to five (five being the highest and best and one the lowest) on taste, texture, how long it took to make (worst taking a long time to make), and how appealing it looks. The cookbook I'll be cooking from - at least for now - is Pillsbury Best Cookies Cookbook. Here is the link to where you can find it. Check it out if any of the reviews sound good to you.

S'more Thumbprint Cookies

These cookies didn't taste good to me. I'm sure that other people would like them, though.
They were very messy, but pretty moist. We found that they look better if you roll them into balls before you bake them. The chocolate doesn't harden, it stays gooey, and the marshmallows have a good texture. We made them pretty small, but it still didn't make as much as it was supposed to.

Chocolate Dipped Almond Toffee Moons

These are very dry cookies! They crumble very easily and make you thirsty, but they taste
really good!
The Chocolate Dipped Almond Toffee Moons (long name!) don't look that pretty
without the chocolate, but once you add it, they look very good.

They take very long to make! The book says two hours, but it takes longer than that! When you add the almonds, you want to
grind them up into an almost powdery mix, with some slightly larger chunks. Over all, they
were pretty good cookies, but not the best.
